On Friday, it was revealed Dr Guy Debelle has left the iron ore giant after 18 months to work for minerals company Tivian.
His new employer revealed the news in an announcement to the ASX, listing his non-executive director role at Fortescue among other previous positions including his stint at the Reserve Bank of Australia.
This week Fortescue also revealed chief executive Fiona Hick and chief financial officer Christine Morris had left the company.
Ms Morris started in July and Ms Hick started in February 2023.
On Thursday, it was revealed Western Australia's safety regulator had been alerted to an incident at a Fortescue mine site party celebrating the company's success.
Hundreds of business leaders and mine workers flew to the company's Solomon mine site in the Pilbara for a 20th anniversary gala bash on Saturday night which featured a performance from Jimmy Barnes.
A spokeswoman for the company said an incident at the party had been reported but did not reveal further details about what happened.
FMG said the party was held using the highest health and safety standards and a risk management plan ensured the event met all requirements, including adhering to the responsible service of alcohol policy and staffing the event with experienced security personnel.
"Fortescue has a long history of holding events to celebrate milestones for its Fortescue family," the spokeswoman said.
"Our top priority is the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members, contractors and communities."
Deputy WorkSafe commissioner Sally North said it had not received complaints about the event and was conducting routine inquiries to ensure FMG had appropriate safety systems given the size of the event.
