A homicide investigation is under way after the death of a woman who was found unresponsive and with critical injuries.Emergency services were called to Taigum in north Brisbane about 12.30am on Saturday where they found the 47-year-old woman.
They tried reviving her but she was subsequently declared dead at the scene.
Following initial investigations, officers located a 52-year-old man in the nearby suburb of McDowall. He is assisting police with their inquiries.
Two crime scenes have been established at the Taigum and McDowall addresses.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or may have relevant CCTV footage to come forward.
