It was more than just a walk — it was a statement of solidarity, a stride towards a safer, more respectful community.

On Saturday, November 22, a wave of orange descended upon Victoria Park as hundreds participated in the Walk Against Family Violence in Shepparton, hosted by Greater Shepparton City Council and the Goulburn Valley 16 Days of Activism Working Group.

The colour was bright, the voices were loud and the commitment was clear: violence has no place here.

This event is part of the global 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign, a United Nations initiative designed to raise awareness and inspire action to end violence against women and girls.
