The Mooroopna Mechanics Hall was transformed into a visual feast of colour and fragrance over the weekend as the Goulburn Valley Orchid Club opened its annual Spring Spectacular of Orchids.

Rows of cymbidiums, native varieties and more filled the hall on September 27 and 28.
Judges’ ribbons marked the prize-winners and visitors paused to admire the intricate patterns and striking hues.
Many stopping to snap photos and soak in the atmosphere.
Orchid enthusiasts from across the region browsed the displays, with some leaving proudly holding new additions for their personal collections, while others simply enjoyed the sensory experience created by the talented growers.
With attendees ranging from seasoned collectors to casual admirers, the show offered something for everyone.
