Year 6 students at Shepparton's Goulburn Valley Grammar School have completed one of their final tasks as primary school students, the Resident Expert project.

Year 6 co-ordinator Fiona O'Meara said the project allowed students to explore and learn about a new topic designed to develop critical and creative thinking.

“This project offers opportunities for students to evaluate knowledge, seek possibilities, consider alternatives and solve problems,” she said.

“The are able to prove to themselves that they are ready for Year 7."
