Flying high ahead of National Championships

Local Finley junior event rider Georgia Lunn has had a promising month in preparation for National Championships being held later this month and early October.

After stepping up to 1* level only a couple of months ago, Georgia and her horse “Clarence Park Flying High” have had recent success placing second at “Friends of Werribee” horse trials in late August and third at “Spring Horse Trials” also held at Werribee last weekend.

Eventing consists of dressage, showjumping and cross country.

Georgia and her horse have only been competing together since the start of this year and have already been able to accomplish so much.

The year 11 Finley HS student and Finley Pony Club member qualified earlier in the year for both EA Interschool Nationals and Pony Club Nationals after her success in the qualifying events.

Georgia and Fly will compete at the Sydney International Equestrian Centre later this month, with competition due to begin on September 29.
