Parents are invited to attend and participate in a range of engaging STEM activities designed to promote scientific inquiry, technological literacy and critical thinking skills.
The event will also showcase a cross-disciplinary approach to teaching, emphasising the interconnectedness of different subjects and their relevance to real-world challenges.
“STEM sits within a broader foundational knowledge base, and the teaching of STEM is a part, albeit important, of a balanced program of learning,” Shepparton East Primary School principal Les Walsh said.
“We value STEM learning for students in their everyday life in our contemporary world, with the rise of new technologies.
“The ability to understand and apply data and develop solutions to complex problems will be important life skills.”
The event will feature three sessions throughout the day, from 10am to 11am, 11.30am to 12.30pm, and 1.15pm to 2.15pm, allowing families to choose a time that suits them best.
This flexibility ensures that all parents have the opportunity to participate in this exciting day of learning and exploration.
