The Shepparton High School and McGuire, Mooroopna and Wanganui Park secondary college Year 7 students have teamed up with experienced VCE Theatre Studies students for the production.
Under the guidance of director Lenore Davidson the protagonist Evan Goldman, played by Year 11 students Hamish Nelson, is forced to adapt after moving to a new town before his 13th birthday.
“It's an age that's all about change,” Ms Davidson said.
“It (the play) is all about young people dealing with change which is the story that needs to be told at this point in time.”
Ms Davidson said it was a great opportunity to get the schools collaborating before they merge into Greater Shepparton College next year.
She said rehearsals had gone smoothly.
Hamish said he was ready for the performances.
“I've really enjoyed learning all the songs,” he said.
