More than 20 schools took part competition which encouraged students to explore the theme 'Why learn languages?'
Winners were organised by primary and secondary schools with each having their own junior and senior categories.
In the primary school competition, St Mel's Shepparton won the junior award and St Joseph's Numurkah won the senior award.
At the secondary level, St Anne's College Kialla won the junior award while Notre Dame College Shepparton and Galen College Wangaratta were equal winners in the senior award.
Languages education officer Dolly Gerges said there was a lot of excitement surrounding the film festival.
“The schools were first introduced to the festival in term one to explore the benefits of learning different languages and to have fun with their learning,” she said.
