Major sale at Dairy Week

A total of 40 cattle from all breeds will be offered at Wednesday night’s International Dairy Week sale at Tatura Park.

The sale normally attracts hundreds of people and draws bids from all over Australia.

Lots routinely sell for tens of thousands of dollars.

The STG Create the Future sale will be conducted by leading dairy auctioneer Brian Leslie.

The sale, to kick off at 7pm, is one feature of International Dairy Week.

On Wednesday, the event will feature the Jersey show and on Thursday Holsteins will be in the ring. The all breeds supreme champion will also be named on Thursday afternoon.

More than 700 cattle are entered in this year’s Dairy Week.
