Riverlinks presented It Takes Two as part of its matinee series Afternoon Delights on Tuesday, August 2.
Performers Karla Hillam and Jonathan Guthrie-Jones delighted patrons with a selection of well-known love duets.
There were songs from musicals such as Beauty and The Beast and A Star is Born as well as hit songs like I Got You Babe, Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, The Prayer and of course — It Takes Two.
The duo will return for a Christmas performance called Tis the Season in mid-December.
“Audiences are beginning to return to live venues now and some of the high-profile shows often sell out quickly,” Riverlinks manager Ken Cameron said.
“It has been a very difficult couple of years for everyone in the entertainment sector so it is great news that artists are touring again and live performances can take place as near normal as possible.”
The Afternoon Delights series at Riverlinks Eastbank features different artists every month, with upcoming performances starring Ian Stenlake in September and Karen Knowles in November.
“We take many precautions to keep our patrons safe such as extra cleaning and sanitising, encouraging people to wear face masks and physical distance where possible,” Mr Cameron said.
“If patrons are unable to attend due to testing positive for COVID-19, we are happy to refund tickets up to the last minute.”
