Now firmly established as a highlight on the local calendar, the event continues to grow each year, thanks to generous donations and strong community support.
A large selection of quality second-hand goods will be on offer, including children’s and adult clothing, footwear, bags, hats, dress-ups and accessories, catering for all ages.
Assistant principal Emma O’Keeffe said visitors are encouraged to bring their own bags, although a small number will be available for those who need them.
“Community members are welcome to fill a bag with items they need, with no strict limits in place,” Mrs O’Keeffe said.
“We are so proud and excited to be able to host this wonderful event for our community. It’s a lovely way to give back and support local families.”
Mrs O’Keeffe said the response on social media had already been overwhelming, with donations continuing to arrive from generous locals.
“While we are thrilled with the support, we are still welcoming additional clothing donations to help make this year’s drive the biggest yet,” she said.
Donations will be accepted at the school until the end of the day on Monday, June 22, between 8am and 4pm.
The Clothes Drive will run from Tuesday, June 23 to Thursday, June 25 at the Wilmot Road Primary School Hall in Shepparton, from 9am to 3pm.
The school extended its thanks to the local community for their ongoing generosity in helping make the event bigger and better each year.
