Greater Shepparton City Council is inviting emerging leaders to apply for its 2026 Community Leadership Program, now in its 13th year.

Beginning in May, the council-funded program consists of seven in-person workshops that will develop skills such as public speaking, conflict management and council governance.
Mayor Shane Sali is a past participant.
“The program supports people who want to step up and contribute to their community, whether through volunteering, advocacy or formal leadership roles,” he said.
“Participants have gone on to support local groups, lead community initiatives and take on leadership positions across Greater Shepparton.”
Up to 20 participants will be selected and applicants must be 18 years or older with a strong connection to the Greater Shepparton community.
Applications close at 11.59pm on Monday, March 30.
