A variety of opportunities in March will remind us to check in on our health.
The Breast Screen Bus will be at the Finley Hospital from Monday, March 9 to Friday, April 10.

A palliative care information session will be held at Finley RSC on Friday, March 12 from 10am to noon.
The Dementia Alliance will hold another ‘Unlocking Hope’ seminar at Finley RSC on March 17.
The Rotary Men’s Health Van will be in Finley at the end of March to check the general health signs of men across our community. Watch out for more information!
And coming up on April 12-13, the Southern Riverina Wellbeing Collaborative will be hosting a Standard Mental Health First Aid Training course at Club Tocumwal.
March is definitely a great time to consider reviewing your own health and wellbeing!

Nan Smith from Finley, together with Loris Houlihan and Jenny Warfe travelled to Katandra West Bowling Club recently to play bowls in the Breast Cancer Pink Day.
The ladies were delighted to be taking part and declared they had an “awesome” day with lots of fun and laughter. They would like to thank Di and Sandy for making it such a great day.
Their bowling must also have been good as they were declared winners of the event.
After being presented with their winnings, they immediately donated it back to assist with the day’s fundraising.
Nan went to a lot of trouble to make sure they were appropriately dressed for the occasion by decking the trio out with pink angel wings.

‘Unlocking Hope – Understanding Dementia’ is back. No. 19 will take place at the Finley RS Club on Tuesday, March 17 at 10.15am for 10.30am start and will go for about an hour.
The Berrigan Shire Dementia Alliance is excited to have dementia consultant Talia Bryce as the guest speaker.

This includes strategies to improve quality of life and manage the causes of behaviors that can sometimes cause distress.
Those attending will have the opportunity to talk with Talia and members of the alliance who are vitally interested in providing assistance and education to members of local communities.
