Greater Shepparton City Council said construction of a stormwater rising main would start on Lenne St on Thursday, February 5.
These works form part of the stage two of the Lenne St drainage upgrade and will involve trenching and boring works along Lenne St and under Toolamba Rd in Mooroopna.
This will enable the installation of the stormwater rising main, facilitating stormwater to be pumped from Smyth Reserve to the outfall on the east side of the railway track on Toolamba Rd.
As a result, Lenne St will be closed to traffic from Toolamba Rd to Howe St from Thursday, February 5, until Wednesday, February 25.
There will be detours in place while stormwater drainage works take place in Lenne St, Mooroopna.
A detour will be in place, advising traffic to use Howe St as an alternative route.
Council has asked motorists and pedestrians to obey all on site signage and direction provided by traffic controllers.
Access to properties will be maintained during the works; however, detours may be required.
