The Lions have secured goaler and former Victorian captain Steph Ferguson, who brings elite experience from four Super Netball seasons across Adelaide, Queensland, and Melbourne to the den.
Ferguson joins Mulwala fresh off a league best-and-fairest for Outer East Club Monbulk, where she crafted a formidable reputation across seven seasons.
It’s a timely addition for a Mulwala outfit that finished third in 2025, but another club in the premiership window is also having a profitable recruiting run.
After already bringing in an all-star cast including the likes of GVL premiership winner Hollie Reid, star goaler Chicky Vick, and rising Kyabram talent Abby Waasdorp, Tongala has now attracted the services of another Bomber to add some depth in the goal-ring.
Best-and-fairest winner Natasha Dodos makes the move to the Blues after more than 50 games for the Bombers, another tick for a Tongala side who will likely start as one of the favourites of the new season.
Brad Ryan will join O&M club Yarrawonga.
On the football field, the Blues are set to feature a Laffy brother at each end of the ground, with Zac joining sibling Darcy at the club.
The latter’s signing was announced in September, while the former joins the Blues after time away from the game.
Meanwhile, a famous Tatura name is bound for the Ovens & Murray league.
Star defender Brad Ryan has put pen to paper at Yarrawonga, the former Bulldogs best-and-fairest, GVL representative, and Victoria Country star committing his 2026 to the Pigeons once he finishes the Northern Territory Football League season with Pint.
The Greenants, which also include Congupna duo James Boyer and Jak Trewin, currently sit second in premier division with a 9-2 record.
Out in the High Country, Mansfield has enlisted the services of Bonnie Doon coach and premiership player Campbell Smedley, adding more midfield grunt as the Eagles aim to build on last season’s preliminary final appearance.
