Quick-thinking neighbour stops arson attack in Shepparton street

A neighbour extinguished the fire before firefighters had even arrived.

A 30-year-old Shepparton woman has been charged with arson, lighting a fire during the fire danger period, committing an indictable offence while on bail, and possessing methamphetamines.

The woman has been remanded in custody to appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court on February 16.
