Two people secured themselves inside a room of a Mooroopna home as a man allegedly smashed through the front window of the residence.
The alleged aggravated burglary happened at around 12.30am on December 28 in Lenne St.
Police arrived a short time later where they found a 19-year-old Shepparton man, bleeding from injuries allegedly sustained while entering the window, inside the house.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment, where he received stitches for his wounds, before being taken to Shepparton Police Station where he was charged with aggravated burglary and committing an indictable offence while on bail.
He was remanded in custody.
He will appear in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in relation to the December 28 alleged aggravated burglary and other unrelated matters.
