Nicole Kidman signs up for horror thriller

Production is underway in Vancouver and while plot details are being kept under wraps, it has been reported the film centres on a couple of school friends, one of whom begins to develop worrying behaviours.

The Young People is the first project under the first-look deal Perkins and his production company Phobos have with Neon. The film marks their latest collaboration following the success of Longlegs, which was the highest-grossing independent film of the year, and The Monkey.

Kidman is currently in post-production on crime series Scarpetta.

She has also been kept busy with Practical Magic 2, on which she was delighted to work with Sandra Bullock again.

She told People magazine: "(Our dynamic is) insane. I can tease her, and she teases me.

"We're both living in London, very close to each other... I adore her and she is so funny and so lovable. And we're just having the best time together."
