The food relief service has partnered with a local radio station for a live-on-air food drive for local contribution convenience.
“The radio station has made it easy to donate during your morning commute,” Ms Healey said.
“Some items of food that we need most at the moment can be purchased for around $2.”
Shepparton Foodshare is currently in need of breakfast spreads, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, cereal, instant noodles, flour and soup.
Donors are also encouraged to consider gifting something festive as we head into the Christmas season.
The ‘live on air’ food drive will take place on Wednesday, November 12, from 6am to 9am, on the front lawn of Triple M radio station at 625 Wyndham St, Shepparton, during presenter Josh Arthur’s morning broadcast.
“Southern Cross Austereo is proud to continue our support of Shepparton Foodshare,” SCA general manager Otto Ablinger said.
“Last year The Triple M Food Drive received close to 300kg of food donations. Let’s see if the Goulburn Valley can dig deep and get us up to 1000kg.”
