Stanhope festival delivers perfect spring cool down

The street came alive with an array of gourmet food stalls and local wineries, offering a tantalising selection that drew crowds throughout the day.

Festival-goers cooled off with ice creams, indulged in melt-in-the-mouth gluten-free doughnuts and sampled gourmet bite-sized charcuterie boards from a new stall that quickly became a crowd favourite.

Adults revelled in the incredible performances by musician Tim Richards, band JB and Me, and mesmerising Indian Fusion dancers.

Meanwhile, children enjoyed a range of activities, including face painting, arts and crafts, and the ever-popular jumping castle.

The festival was the third of its kind held in Stanhope and was brought to life by the Stanhope Development Committee and a group of dedicated volunteers who were up before the crack of dawn to set up Birdwood Ave.
