A truck driver has died after crashing into two parked trucks on the Hume Fwy on Wednesday, October 1.
Police believe the driver lost control of the truck at Wangaratta South before crashing into the other parked vehicles and catching fire just before 5am.
The driver, who died at the scene, was the sole occupant of the truck.
The driver is yet to be identified.
The occupants of the stationary trucks, who were sleeping at the time, were not injured.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident
The driver’s death brings the Victorian road toll to 220, compared to 211 at the same time last year.
