Yentrac Prime Lamb Sires has returned from the Australasian Dorset Championships, earning recognition for its quality team of rams ahead of the stud’s annual on-property ram sale.
The Tatura stud — which breeds Poll Dorset, White Suffolk and Southdown rams — prides itself on producing structurally correct, powerful and fast-growing sheep that deliver profitable lambs for both commercial and stud flocks.
Yentrac’s 2025 sale team took out Senior Champion Ram for the second year in a row, Reserve Champion Ewe, and first place in three different pair classes across both ewe and ram sections — a testament to the evenness of their flock.
Yentrac also returned home as Most Successful Exhibitor at the show.
“We are focused on breeding rams that deliver for both commercial farmers and stud breeders — structurally correct, powerful and fast-growing lambs that help produce profitable lambs,” part-owner Katie Shapcott said.
“The results at the championships are a reflection of the work we put in year after year.”
Yentrac Prime Lamb Sires will hold its annual ram sale on Wednesday, September 24 at 1pm, at 110 Craven Rd, Tatura. Inspections are welcome on the day from 11am.
