It was announced on Tuesday that Ash and Elliott had earned selection in the 44-man All-Australian squad for the first time, putting both in line for maiden AA blazers.
Former Shepparton star Ash has enjoyed a fruitful few seasons blazing a trail across the GWS backline, but 2025 has been his best to date, averaging 27 disposals, six marks, six rebounds and a laser-like disposals efficiency of 81 per cent.
At 25, Ash has established himself as one of the AFL's elite half-backs and he’ll have a big say in the Giants' premiership campaign, kicking off with a do-or-die elimination final at Engie Stadium next weekend against either Hawthorn, Gold Coast or the Western Bulldogs on Saturday week.
In his 14th season Jamie Elliott has earned an All-Australian nod.

As for Elliott, the Euroa export’s 14th campaign for Collingwood has yielded his largest return in front of goal.
Elliott, who played his 200th game against Brisbane in round six, booted more than 50 goals for the first time in his career, 13 majors beyond his previous best.
The evergreen Pies forward is also finals-bound, facing Adelaide in next Thursday’s qualifying final at Adelaide Oval.
The final 22 will be announced this Thursday evening at the AFL Awards Night.
