With a donation of $2000, op-shop manager Barbara White said the people who organised FoodShare were doing a wonderful job to provide a service to those people who were in need.
“People are doing it very tough,” she said.
“I think it’s important that we give this donation to these people so they can buy more food to support the people that are doing it hard.”
Moira FoodShare co-ordinator James Rouel said he couldn’t be more grateful for the support.
“Thank you so much to the Uniting Church here in Cobram,” he said.
Mr Rouel said he intended to spend the donation on hard-to-get foods, such as meats.
“It’s an amazing amount of money, and will make a real impact,” he said.
Each month, Moira FoodShare supports almost 4500 people doing it tough in Moira Shire.

“We help 4000 to 4500 people a month right across the shire, and without this, we couldn’t do what we do. It’s why we exist still.”
Every year, the Cobram Uniting Church Op-Shop committee donates money to a worthy community cause.
In past years, it has provided critical funds to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, the State Emergency Service and the Cobram Hospital, continuing its mission to support the community.
