The live music event, featuring Ken Wong, Owen Holleran, Carole McGregor, Lara Sa and a lively cameo on stage by event organiser Craig ‘Whiskas’ Veysey, was held on August 9, during Homelessness Week.
Revellers drank, dined, bopped and dropped their spare change into charity buckets placed along the hosting venue, Shepparton Brewery’s bar.

The three-and-a-half-hour event raised $2315.62.
Whiskas thanked brewery owners Daina Winch and Matt Milsome for “providing the house of love” and for “always opening their hearts and pockets to support locals”.
The funds will be donated to the Salvation Army North East Youth Services and Goulburn Valley Fresh Start Foundation, which provide support for the region’s homeless population.

Whiskas also thanked Jamie Lea and JL Productions for their donation of GROUNDed tickets for a raffle on the day and Printworks for promotional posters in the lead-up to the event.
“And most importantly, the beautiful ‘brew crew’ who turned up and dug deep to donate what they could to a much-needed cause,” Whiskas said.
