Power poles are being replaced along the Murray Valley Hwy in Echuca.
Power pole replacement works began in Echuca on Sunday, August 10 along Murray Valley Hwy and Ogilvie Ave.

A Powercor spokesperson said the company works year-round to ensure its network is reliable and safe, including inspecting and maintaining essential infrastructure.
“The works in Echuca include two pole replacement (jobs) and nine other maintenance items, such as replacing cross arms and switches,” they said.
“Already this year, we have replaced or reinforced over 3966 power poles through our pole intervention program.”
The company has a target of assessing 6533 poles in the Powercor network by the end of the year, which is well on track to being achieved.
Works will continue to take place along the Murray Valley Hwy and surrounding streets over the next few months.
Powercor will keep customers updated on works as the dates are finalised.
