MOVE has the cover, who will bring the chrome?
Shepparton’s Museum of Vehicle Evolution is gearing up for its first-ever Wicked Winter Warmer on Saturday, July 5, promising a polished pageantry of about 100 vehicles.
“We thought that everybody gets a bit bored in winter, so it’s a good excuse to get your cars out and get a bit social,” event organiser Lynne Salau said.
It’s not just cars.
A range of classic beauties, bespoke custom creations, powerful muscle cars, and sleek modern vehicles, alongside a selection of eye-catching motorcycles and trucks, will turn heads.
Additionally, attendees will enjoy live music from Scotty Baker and Boy Howdy Three, bar facilities opening at noon, and food vans available throughout the day.
“They get a good day of everything at the car show, plus you can spend the whole day out here – look through MOVE, get food next door, have a game of mini golf,” Mrs Salau said.
“The whole complex needs a bit of a lift in the winter, that little injection of more people around.”
With five independent judges on hand to select the top ten trophy winners at 1.30pm, participants are encouraged to pre-book for faster entry through the gates.
“The judges are bringing along some of their vehicles too, that won’t be judged, but they’ll be on display ... they have some great cars to see that aren’t just your everyday run-of-the-mill,” Mrs Salau said.
Regardless of whether judges select their pristine machine or not, all are guaranteed an unforgettable day.
Wicked Winter Warmer is on Saturday, July 5, from 10am to 3pm at the Museum of Vehicle Evolution, 7723 Goulburn Valley Hwy, Kialla.
Gates behind MOVE will open at 9am to show vehicles.
Entry is $25 per car, which includes up to two entrants. Additional passengers are $10 each.
Spectators enter through the main entrance of MOVE, and admission is at the regular museum entry price.
