It’s a situation that every woman and girl has faced at some point.
Unfortunately, factors such as cost were leading to more frequent experiences like this, as many individuals were going without sanitary products.
Until now.
To ensure menstruating women in the Goulburn Valley have access to free sanitary products, Primary Care Connect, in partnership with Share the Dignity, has introduced a vending machine stocked with these essential items.
This period product dispenser is conveniently located inside the main public restroom at Primary Care Connect’s office on Wyndham St, Shepparton.
It isn’t the only one.
Since December 2016, Share the Dignity has installed over 640 Dignity Vending Machines nationwide, ensuring easy and confidential access to sanitary products where they are most needed.

It took one charity addressing period poverty to make a world of difference — and one local woman to bring this initiative to the region.
“Our community nurse, Jen, recognised the necessity for women in our area to have a service offering free sanitary products,” Primary Care Connect executive manager for health Leigh Stanbrook said.
“She took the initiative to contact Share the Dignity ... and I commend her for her dedication.
“Period poverty is a serious issue and should not be overlooked.
“All girls and women deserve dignity and access to the products they rely on.”
