The not-for-profit group focuses on sustainable conservation, drought management and agriculture, to create a positive impact on the local environment.
Landcare facilitator Alana Mountain said the network was excited to have a new home in Benalla, at 72 Bridge St east.
“We’ve established our community hub, which we wanted to have as a space that the community can access,” she said.
“And that all our Landcare groups can use to host meetings or events.”
Alana said environmental work was a great area to volunteer in, and could be very rewarding.
“The changes in a single person’s lifetime that can be witnessed are quite profound,” Alana said.
“Landcare members have seen revegetation improve the health of waterways and wildlife, which is always amazing to see.”
From Yarrawonga to the Strathbogie Ranges, the network consists of 14 different environmental groups.

Groups are located throughout Euroa, Shepparton, Benalla and Seymour.
Volunteers participate in various hands-on activities, such as planting trees and fixing animal habitats.
A more profound knowledge of sustainable practices is developed through engaging, fun and fulfilling experiences.
Farmers and environmental experts feature at special events, to provide invaluable information on how to implement sustainable practices.
Environmental information sessions are held frequently to provide volunteers with an in-depth understanding of preservation measures.
Resources are offered at the organisation’s headquarters in Benalla or on the GCLN website.
