Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after crashing their vehicle into a power pole in Wyndham St on Friday morning.

Police confirmed the red Holden Astra, which had no rear registration plates, was travelling along Wyndham St at around 5am when it crossed on to the wrong side of the road and hit the gutter.
The front of the vehicle hit a power pole causing the concrete to crack.
Police said the vehicle then continued south along Wyndham St before hitting another power pole and a wooden bench seat on the side of the road before coming to a stop.
Police attended the scene however the driver of the vehicle fled on foot.
Upon searching the vehicle a quantity of cannabis was found inside.
Police are continuing their inquires into the investigation.
