After an 18-month absence, Daniel Berger will make his return when the PGA Tour's West Coast Swing begins in the California desert.

Berger, who has not played since the 2022 US Open because of back issues, is in the field for next week's The American Express at La Quinta, California.
In addition to a lower disc issue in his back, the 30-year-old Berger had been dealing with deep bone sensitivity issues, according to Golf Digest.
A four-time winner on the PGA Tour, Berger played for the US Ryder Cup team in 2019 and helped his side to a 19-9 victory over Europe.
Berger went 2-1-0 during his three matches at Whistling Straits in Kohler, Wisconsin.
A Florida native, Berger's most recent PGA Tour victory came at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am in 2021.
He was also a back-to-back winner at the FedEx St Jude Classic in 2016 and 2017.
Berger has four top-10 finishes in a major, including a tie for sixth in the 2018 US Open at Shinnecock Hills, New York.
