The Blues are undefeated in six games heading into tomorrow's clash with league champions Strathdale, which will be looking to keep its perfect season on home soil intact.
United knocked off Tatura for a 4-1 result last weekend and will be keen to test itself against the league's best.
"It should be a good game, we trained (on Wednesday night) and it all went well, we're keeping everything nice and crisp and getting the rust out of the boys coming back from injury," United coach Roven Shaholli said.
"It should be an interesting game, we just need everyone to get up and about.
"They have no weaknesses, they didn't win the league for no reason and we'll just need to be very well prepared. It's a good challenge to see where we stack up before finals."
United lost 4-2 when the sides met earlier in the season, but Shaholli's side has lifting by the week and should be confident of a much better show tomorrow.
"Last time played them we had about six players out and the score was 4-2, but they were threatened by us all game," he said.
"I think it will be a totally different game, we've got a lot of players back. They move the ball well, they're very well organised and move the ball fast."
United is fifth on the ladder and a win would mean it faces Tatura next weekend in the first round of the BASL Super Cup, but a loss would leave the door open for Shepparton South to jump it for fifth and leave the Blues facing third-ranked Moama-Echuca.
Shaholli just wants his side to put in another dynamite display.
"Against Tat they played very well but we were just a bit sharper than them," he said.
"We just finished our chances, which is one thing we've been lacking this season. We've scared every side - you've just got to finish your chances, but the boys up front are working really hard."
Other matches see South take on Golden City at home keen post a win before the Super Cup.
The Southerners, which have won three straight games with commanding 4-0, 6-0 and 6-2 scorelines, are favourites to take care of business, facing a side that has accrued just 11 points in 15 games this season.
Joel Aitken has been impressive for South with consecutive hat-tricks and will be a priority for City to shut down.
In the women's division, Shepparton United has one game left to complete a perfect regular season, battling fourth-ranked Strathdale away from home.
The Blues have won all 17 games this season, but saw how stubborn Strathdale could be when they won 5-0 earlier in the year.
Elsewhere, Shepparton South will take on Golden City, still with a chance to finish as high as third on the ladder.
The Southerners are fifth but a win against the eighth-ranked Rams, combined with losses for Colts United and Strathdale, would see the side jump into third and secure an easier match-up for next week's Super Cup.
Tatura closes its season with a trip to Spring Gully United, while Shepparton travels to take on La Trobe University.
