SES address flood risk as river rises

With river levels rising Cobram SES Unit Controller Luke Herezo has spoken to the Courier about the risk of further flooding.

In all too familiar sight, the popular Thompson’s Beach is no more. Well, at least until the mighty Murray River recedes.

On Thursday June 29 Moira Shire Council made the decision to temporarily remove the barbecue’s at the popular site for safety reasons but will return them as soon as the water recedes.

Speaking to the Courier, Cobram SES Unit Controller Luke Herezo assured the community that as yet there is no major risk of flooding.
