There are many jobs on offer, and both organisations want to ensure young people take up these opportunities and stay in the region — knowing that there is a future here for them.
GMLLEN executive officer Bec Costa-Lowe said the Youth Jobs tab had specific content to help young people find the right job.
“There are great tips and tools to assist young people create an outstanding resumé, a guide on how to feel comfortable in an interview, and an insight into local industries that are hiring right now,” Bec said.
Bec recommends if young people want to join, they should go to growgreatershepparton.com.au and click on Youth Jobs to start searching for their ideal job.
For employers, it’s free to join, and you are supported by the GROW Greater Shepparton team. If you would like assistance with how best to promote your job vacancies to attract young people email leanne.hulm@growgs.com.au
“The importance of connecting young people to industry throughout their school years is crucial, as it increases exposure and also allows the young person to make better-informed career decisions,” GROW program manager Leanne Hulm said.
“We are trying to make job hunting easier for young people by creating this site that is tailored to entry level jobs in our region.”
