The new testing site, at the Shepparton Showgrounds, will be open from 10 am to 2 pm.
People who are more unwell are still encouraged to attend Goulburn Valley Health's Graham St Shepparton screening station for testing.
GV Health announced earlier this week there would no longer be general asymptomatic testing as offered during the testing blitz.
However, the hospital has been requested to extend community-based symptomatic COVID-19 testing in coming weeks.
Symptoms include a fever or chills without a cause or anyone with an acute respiratory infection characterised by cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose or loss of the sense of smell.
GV Health chief executive Matt Sharp said GV Health had also been requested to undertake a targeted testing program for schools within the region.
''This program is currently being organised and details will be communicated to schoolprincipals as soon as possible,'' he said.
During the period the testing blitz was in place and fully operational at GV Health, a total of 3960 people were tested for COVID-19 by the health service.
This was an average of 360 people tested per day during the period compared to an average of 32 people each day in the week prior to the testing blitz starting.
''In addition, GV Health also provides pathology services at Echuca Regional Health and Nathalia, Cobram and Numurkah Health and processed 1224 COVID-19 pathology tests during the testing blitz,'' Mr Sharp said.
''This was an average of 111 pathology tests each day compared to the week prior to the testing blitz commencing.''
Greater Shepparton reported its first new case of coronavirus in three weeks on Sunday.
Mr Sharp said the person had been self-isolating at home, and was not assessed at a GV Health pop-up site.
