There is no doubt Nagambie will head into a new football season as the team to beat.
A perennial powerhouse in the competition, the long-term stability of its program continues to be the envy of all others.
Even with a change within the coaching ranks after a successful premiership run in 2019 under Anthony Haysom, not much continues to change around the club.
Returning co-coach Linc Sullivan has led Nagambie to multiple senior premierships, while his counterpart Darryl Harrison has an extensive coaching background after crossing to the club in 2018.
And with Haysom remaining to lead the Lakers’ crop of players on-field, the move arguably strengthens an already impenetrable team.
“We'll stick with a similar sort of game plan and our main structures. Obviously there is a few different midfielders to put in at stoppage set-ups, but overall it's pretty much the same sort of system-based footy,” Sullivan said.
With Nagambie striving to extend its domination across the ranks, Sullivan said the club would continue to look to its next generation of talent to take the step up to seniors this year.
“We've got some young guys coming through the thirds, Nick Smidt, Will Dalton, Trent Gladwin, they're pretty important to the club, and very good players at such a young age,” Sullivan said.
