The Emus team of Rob Erskine, Bruce Forster and Kyle Pearce won a close game against the Magpies’ Col Exton (substitute player), Tim Butler and Tammy Pearce, scoring six rubbers to five.
Erskine and Forster won two singles rubbers each and Kyle Pearce won a singles for the Emus. For the Magpies, Exton won three rubbers, Butler won a singles and the Magpies won both doubles rubbers.
At Moorngag the Eagles’ Jim Renkin, Shaun Murphy and Patrick Cornell played a dominant match to defeat the Tigers’ Paul and Wesley Shea and David Beer by eight rubbers to three.
For the Eagles, Murphy won three rubbers, Renkin won two and Cornell won one. Beer won two singles rubbers and Paul Shea won a singles. The Eagles won both doubles rubbers.
At the Swanpool pavilion the Wombats’ Gareth Burnell, Andrew Marriott and Henry Thorn won comfortably against the Swans’ Chris Seeley, Keith Bickerton, Rowhan Marshal and Mike Larkin with a score of eight rubbers to three.
Burnell and Marriott both won three singles rubbers and the Wombats won both doubles rubbers. Larkin, Seeley and Bickerton won a singles each.
