In memory of shared journeys.
In memory of shared journeys.

Dear Julian, you were my best friend (and Dux of the school) at De La Salle College Malvern and later at University of Melbourne where you did engineering and I did science.

We hung out together - one day we walked the entire coast from Portsea bay beach to Point Nepean and then to London Bridge through the restricted military area. You were exceptionally intelligent and stimulating.

We had great discussions about lots of varied topics: I recall you had understood the tensor equations of General Relativity by the end of our school years. I recall our sharing a drink at a Carlton pub when I came to see you at Royal Park. Your intellect was unaffected.

I later met you and Sue at your Carlton apartment. I still recall some of your scientific explanations. I named my first born after you.

I believe you surely have passed on to an entirely better existence where I hope we will meet again.
