With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our beloved Virgil aged 52. Virgil died peacefully surrounded by his family on 2 January 2026.
Cherished son to Robert and Alwine.
Dearest older brother to Vanessa, Anita and Roger.
Adored Uncle to Gabrielle, Eva, Ruben, Corey and Tayo.
Esteemed brother-in-law to John and Joshua.
Loved by all who knew him.
We wish to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the staff of the Cairns Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their compassion, understanding and expert care of Virgil.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service in celebration of Virgil’s life to be held at 10:00am on Thursday 8 January 2026 at the Simplicity Chapel, 411 Mulgrave Rd, Westcourt.
While his passing leaves us bereft, his presence forever endures in memory, in love and in our hearts.
