It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Gregory Sawyer, beloved husband of Janet (deceased) Father to Gen, Lou, Liz, Cate, Drew & Bren and cherished Grandfather & Great Grandfather to all of their families
John passed away peacefully at his home in Darwin, surrounded by loved ones. His generosity, love of life and positive energy, will forever be remembered by all who knew him
John was a man of great strength and integrity and he touched the lives of many. His legacy lives on through his children, their families, and all who were fortunate enough to call him a friend
John is now embarking on his next adventure with his First Mate and forever companion Janet

A funeral service for John will be held at St Mary's Star of the Sea cathedral at 3.00pm on Saturday 3rd January 2026.
