Fr Benignus (Colin James)

Fr Benignus (Colin) Clowes, OFM
died at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital
on 9 November at the age of 96.
He was a loved and deeply valued member
of the Franciscan Order for 77 years and a priest for 71.
He was a popular and respected teacher at Padua College
where he served a time as Rector and taught in Melbourne.
He was a popular priest in the parish of Box Hill in Melbourne also.

Ben is the cherished son of William and Elsie,
and a beloved uncle and great uncle to his family.

The funeral Mass for
Fr Benignus will be held at Little Flower Church,
Turner Road, Kedron,
on Thursday, 20 November at 12 noon.

Following Mass and light refreshments at the church,
Fr Ben will be taken to the Franciscan Section of Nudgee Cemetery for burial.
