BELL, R.A.F./R.A.A.F. WO (Ret.) Joffre Birdwood

Late of Brownesholme, Highfields and formerly of Clifton, passed away on 19th November 2025, aged 105 years.

Beloved Husband of Rhyl. Dearly loved Father and Father-in-law of Graham and Alison, Kirsten and Nick, Rhys and Maree. Proud and loving Grandfather to Morgan, Riley, and Bronte. Cherished Uncle of Wendy and Sandra.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Joffre's funeral, to be held at the T.S. Burstow Chapel, 1020 Ruthven Street (south), Toowoomba, service commencing at 2:00 pm, Monday, 8th December 2025.

Prior to this service, a parade will be held on King Street, Clifton, concluding with an RSL memorial service at the cenotaph on Edward Street. All those wishing to farewell Joffre are welcome to line King Street from 10.00am, with the cortege beginning at 10.45am. Road closures will be in effect on King Street, from Meara Place to Edward Street, and Edward Street from King Street to Tooth Street, between 10.00am and 12.15pm. Please consider parking outside this zone if you are able, to allow space for attendees to congregate along the route.
