First born of Bernard and Monnie Bakewell, a much loved and admired brother to Jacqui and Chris (dec). Adored husband of Patricia, and loving and amazing father to Kelvin, Lincoln, Lisa and Gabrielle. Father-in-law to Arthur and Anne.

A special bond with his brother-in-law Des and sister-in-law Carole.

A truly loved and idolised Poppy to Kai, Casey, Paige, Danielle and Chloe and Great poppy to Hunter, Kobe, Charlie, and Theo.

"Uncle Bill" to Malcolm, Ross, Michael, Justine, John, Bronwyn, Sandra, Anna and Ryan and their beautiful partners and Great Uncle to all their children and so many more.

An amazing father, brother, grandfather, uncle, mentor and friend. An endless list of people are indebted to him because of his generosity. He helped so many to get on their feet and provided a home to so many.

He was generous with his time, his love, his experience, his astuteness.

He was generous to a fault.

Passed away on Monday 15th September at 4.35pm surrounded by his family.

We would love all friends and family to attend a celebration of dad's amazing life at St Patrick's Church, Wellington St Bondi, on Tuesday 23rd of September at 1.30pm followed by a committal at Eastern Suburbs Crematorium. A celebration will be held in Dad's honour, details of which will be provided at the church.
