Anthony “Tony” SMITH (LOVETT) – Aged 82 Years
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Anthony “Tony” SMITH (LOVETT) who died peacefully at the Cairns Base Hospital on Friday, 14 November 2025.
Beloved father to Natasha, Megan, and Mark Lovett.
Tony was one of the most giving souls — someone whose kindness reached everyone he encountered. He moved through life with a rare generosity of spirit, always ready to listen, to help, and to lift others up. His love for people was effortless and sincere. Those who knew Tony will remember his warmth, his humour, and the way he made others feel seen and valued. He gave without hesitation, loved without conditions, and lived with a heart that never closed.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all whose lives that were touched by his presence.
He lived with a gentle strength and left behind a legacy of friendship and love.
