VALE Sister Betty Schonfeldt RSM OAM
It is with great sadness that Carrington Cottages acknowledges the passing of Sister Betty Schonfeldt RSM OAM, our founding Administrator.
From 1989 to 2014, Sr Betty devoted 25 years to Carrington Cottages, providing compassion, dignity and support to hundreds of men experiencing homelessness.
Her extraordinary service was recognised in 2017 when she was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia.
Sr Betty’s legacy lives on in Carrington Cottages and in the lives of the many people she supported.
With gratitude for an extraordinary life of service.
You will forever remain part of the heart and history of Carrington Cottages.
Our deepest condolences to the Sisters of Mercy, Sr Betty’s family, friends and all who loved her.
