In Loving Memory

of John Keegan

May 11, 1933 – July 25, 2025

Our beloved Dad, John Keegan,

passed away peacefully in his

favourite chair early Friday, 25 July

— just as he wished, in his own home,

with no fuss.

At 92, he lived independently almost to the end.

He told us he’d had a good run,

and he passed calmly and contentedly.

Originally from Wales,

John immigrated to Australia in 1969

as a Ten Pound Pom.

He lived with an adventurous

spirit and a warm heart.

John was a devoted father

to Rick and Simon,

and a proud grandfather to

Taryn, Adam, Jett, Mace, Scout, and Keat,

and great-grandfather to

Alia, Indy, Will, Bodhi,

Riley, and Alice.

He was a much-loved father-in-law

to Terry and Haidee,

a cherished brother to Colin, Teresa, Vera, Jo, and Moira,

and a loyal friend and confidante to many.

His dogs — Ninja the First, Second, and Third

— were treasured companions.

An entrepreneur, windsurfer,

lawn bowls champ, Duolingo wizard —

and with tech skills that could put a millennial to shame —

John lived fully.

He lives on through us.
