Very sad to advise that Margaret passed away suddenly on 21 August 2025. Margaret was the beloved wife of Ian Hilton Danks (deceased) for 67 years, after the pair met at a government employee cafeteria in Canberra in 1953. She was the much-loved mother of Philip (who died in infancy), David, Jon and Tim, mother-in-law of Leah, Yahiro and David, grandmother of Caitlin, Alexander, Gemma, Joshua and Lucas, and great grandmother of Leo. Margaret sang for many years with the Melbourne Chorale, Astra Choir and Bass Coast Chorale. A highly creative person, she was a keen sewer who also turned her hand to stained glass. Many will remember Ian and Margaret’s home improvement projects, both in Camberwell and their seaside home in Inverloch. Margaret was also an avid golfer and an active member of Leongatha Golf Club.
