12°CCARPENTIERI, Rocco
Born in Bovalino, Prov. Reggio Calabria, Italy

Passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at home
on December 15, 2025.
Aged 86 years.
Dearly beloved husband of Antonia (deceased).
Much loved and loving father and father-in-law of
Tony and Lina, Vince and Rosa, Teresa and Joe Costanzo.
Cherished Nonno of
Rocco and Maria, Antonia and Michael, Rachel and Luke,
Rosamaria and Giovanni, Josephine and Christian,
Amelia, Bianca and Judd and adored bisnonno of
Gia-Rose, Antonio, Sienna, Lia, Francesca,
Romeo, Luca and Amalia.
Loved, remembered and missed immensely by all his
relatives and friends in Australia and overseas.
Pa, our hearts are broken.
The pain we were having has just doubled.
You kept saying “I no be long, I no be long”
but little did we know that it would be so soon.
You are now with your soulmate and knowing this,
will keep us going. The times we shared will be
remembered with an ache in my heart.
You know me Pa, always doing things my way,
but I will do my best to look after everyone else.
The beer will always be cold and I will have one for you
every Monday night. Say hi to Ma.
The angels are going to have fun with the two of you.
Tony and Lina xx
Pa - You left us without saying goodbye,
much too early and without no warning. I still had
so much to tell you - but I can do that later on.
But we now know that you are happy to meet up with Mum.
We love you and miss you so much.
Love from your son C’è and Rosa.
Oh Ba! There will never be enough words
to describe how we are feeling right now.
We cannot believe we will never see that beautiful
smile and charismatic face of yours.
Our heart breaks that we will never receive a phone
call from you again. We will cherish that
Sunday night and your last words to us.
Look after a mamma; you needed her,
just as much as we needed you.
Love Tinagea and Joe.
Nonno, this is not how your story was meant to end,
so suddenly and without warning.
This week, like so many times before, was meant
to be you and me driving around town with your blue esky,
visiting everyone with the birra fridda for Christmas.
You weren’t just my Nonno; you defined me, gave meaning
to who I am, and without you, I can’t be me.
From your little patch in Salisbury North, you
instilled values in more lives than you ever realised.
The calls, tears, and stories shared since your passing
have proven just how deeply you were loved and
respected by everyone, both near and far.
To share your name is the greatest honour of my life,
and I will try my hardest to live up to it with the same
respect you earned and so greatly deserved.
You gave our kids a sense of who they are and where they come from,
along with the pride of being part of our family.
Through them, your name and legacy will live on for
generations to come, just as you always hoped.
After only 50 days apart, you and Nonna needed
each other more than you needed us, so give her a kiss from me.
Mangia, bivi e no ti preocupari. N’di sentimu.
From Rocco, Maria, Gia-Rose, Antonio and Francesca
Nonno, I’m still waiting to wake up from
this horrid dream. Your laugh, your smile, and the way
you loved your great grandkids will be with me forever.
Thank you for creating a legacy that Lia and Romeo
got to so proudly be a part of, and Lukey will
guard your chickens with his life.
Love you forever Nonno,
Your Rachulea, Luke, Lia and Romeo xx
Nonno Rocco - We can’t believe you’re gone.
Our memories together will be in our hearts forever.
You didn’t deserve your story to end the way it did,
but Nonna was calling for you, and we have some comfort
in knowing you’re singing your favourite songs and
sharing a bowl of peanuts together-
with a beer and a coffee. We are so grateful we got to
spend so much time together, especially the last 7 weeks.
We’re gonna miss our beers together, our Briscola games
and countless nights of Calabrese music on tv.
We love you Nonno Rocco, tell Nonna we miss her,
just like we already miss you. Rest assured that we
will take care of Papa and always remind him
how much you two loved and appreciated him.
“Drink up, we’ll have another one.”
Rest in Peace Nonno Rocco, until we meet again xoxo
Love always your loving Grandchildren
Antonia and Michael, Rosamaria and Giovanni,
Bianca and Judd and your great Grandchildren,
Sienna, Luca and Amalia xx
To our Nonno Rocco,
A true gentleman who worked hard and showed
unconditional love to his family. We promise to carry out
the lessons you left on this Earth and instil your values with
the new generations to come. Your love for Nonna
was just too great not to be together.
We hope your lifetime together is everything
you ever imagined and more.
You will always be our Nonno Rocco.
Love Josephine, Amelia and Christian.
