12°CTeacher, Principal, Partner, Father, Grandfather.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our warm, witty, loving and wise Dad, Warren Bury, in Darwin on Saturday 20th December.
Dad was a long-time Territorian, a much-loved teacher and Assistant Principal at Darwin High School from 1967 and proud Principal at Sanderson High School when it first opened its doors in 1985.
After retiring to his hometown of Adelaide in 2000, Dad returned to Darwin in March this year with his partner Jennifer to enjoy the love and support of his daughters and their families.
He is survived by his partner Jennifer, his daughters Sharyn, Melissa and Rachel, his sons-in-law Andrew, Darren and Simon, and his grandchildren Jasmine, Jack, Summer and Chloè.
All family, friends, former students and colleagues are warmly invited to attend his Celebration of Life at 1:30pm on Friday 9th January at the Resthaven Chapel in Marrara, and afterwards at his 2025 home at 11 Knight Street, Fannie Bay.
Dad was a modest man, but we know that he was much-loved and we would love your company as we celebrate him.
